HomeExercise:  Exersize Suggestions for Routines

Routines for Regular Exersize

The form exersize routines take all depends on what each individual person wants and expects out of his or her workout. Weight loss, improving overall fitness, training for a specific athletic event, and building or toning muscles are all very different ultimate goals. It is not really possible to accomplish all of these outcomes with the same exersize routine because there are many factors involved that influence the way exersize routines affect the body. Even two people who have the same fitness goals may have different exersize routines because their current fitness levels or exersize personalities may be different. Therefore, to determine your best exersize routine, you need to decide first what you want out of your workout.

Deciding on Exersize Routines

There are many different components of exersize routines. One of the first things to consider is what kind of activity you enjoy and are willing to commit to. For example, the only fitness activity some people can handle is sport-related, such as playing basketball or tennis on a community team or with friends. Other people prefer the simplicity of streamlined exersize, such as running or cycling. Decide where your interests lie and choose an activity that appeals to you. If your exersize consists of doing something you enjoy, you will be more likely to stick with it for an extended period of time.

Another thing to consider when creating your exersize routine is how much available time you have to dedicate to exersizing. Although everyone should try to make time in their schedules for some amount of exersize, not everyone can commit to an hour and a half every day. If you only have a short amount of time--twenty to thirty minutes--you do not have to give up the idea of exersize. You have enough time to warm-up, do some quick stretching, get a good fifteen minute cardio workout, and cool-down. Although it may take more discipline to adhere to such a time-constrained workout schedule, it is not impossible.

Something that is important to remember about exersize routines is consistency. Consistency is both the key to success and to sticking with your workout schedule. If you do not have a regular exersize schedule and only exersize periodically, your body never has the opportunity to adjust to the new effort and make fitness improvements. Therefore, the exersize will continually seem hard and especially tiring, which can cause you to give up sooner. Decide on a regular workout schedule that you can handle and stick to it as much as possible. If all you can do is every other day, that is fine. This will be enough to improve your fitness and gradually show results.
